This month on the blog, we’re so happy to shine a spotlight on BE Chocolat, an artisan chocolate company we’re proud to partner with. Their handcrafted chocolates are thoughtfully made with an emphasis on quality, craftsmanship, and beautiful presentation, which is exactly why we knew they would be the perfect fit for our gift sets. We love working with makers who put care into every detail, and BE Chocolat does just that, creating treats that feel special, elevated, and genuinely delicious.
When it comes to handcrafted, small-batch chocolate artistry, BE Chocolat stands out as a truly special experience rooted in tradition, passion, and creativity. Founded in 2014 by Belgian Master Chocolatier Benoit Racquet and Sylvie Fortin, BE Chocolat brings a slice of European chocolate culture right here to Connecticut. Benoit earned his Master Chocolatier degree at the renowned Ceria Institute in Brussels, and even served as Head Chocolate Chef for the Belgian Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, credentials that speak to a deep commitment to craft and quality.
At BE Chocolat, every chocolate is handmade in small batches using sustainably sourced Callebaut Finest Belgian chocolate, an ingredient beloved by artisans for its rich flavor and exceptional texture. This careful, hands-on approach preserves the true complexity of premium chocolate and elevates every bite into an indulgent experience.
What makes BE Chocolat truly unique is the way it blends traditional Belgian techniques with inventive, contemporary flair. The classic pralines reflect a balance of heritage and imagination. Their Fairfield Atelier showcases this artistry, creating not just chocolates, but memorable treats and gourmet desserts that have earned them accolades like Best Dessert of the Gold Coast from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Beyond truffles and bars, BE Chocolat’s world invites exploration: rich Belgian coffee, micro-batch ice cream, warm waffles, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels as warm as their signature chocolate. The Atelier also offers curated tasting experiences and classes, making a perfect treat for special moments.
